Austin Rice Alliance is the Austin chapter of the [http://www.alliance.rice.edu Rice Alliance]. Rice Alliance is part of [http://www.rice.edu Rice University] and it's goal is to support entrepreneurs and early stage technology companies. The organization has been very VC/fund-raising focused, like most organizations in town. However, over the last couple of years, we've forged a great relationship with the Austin chapter and done a number of joint events. For example, a panel on [http://www.austinricealliance.org/events/event.php5?id=event20050302.htm "Bootstrapping Your Business"] and a talk by Bijoy on bootstrapping at their annual business plan review event.
